2018 Year End Reviews - Part 2.5

Read this on galpod.com.

I know, I know. That's going to be confusing. But I anticipate tomorrow and Friday to be extremely crazy what with flying to Israel and my dad's memorial. So I'm trying to stay ahead of this particular curve. We'll see how that works out.

Saturday: Good habits formed

Journalling every morning is one of the good habits I managed to (roughly) keep this year. I write three things I'm grateful for most mornings. It has helped me a lot to think about my privilege in an active way, which is helping me to be more aware of social injustices. I'm not sure yet that's a good thing, because, boy, there are a lot of social injustices.

Sunday: Bad habits broken

Unfortunately, I'm still playing stupid iPhone games to distract myself from sitting with uncomfortable feelings. It's on my list though :)

Monday: Unfinished business

I have nothing that needs to be taken care of before the new year. All gifts are bought and wrapped, all cards are written (most of them handed), and, from a writing perspective, whatever I didn't write until now is waiting until January because in December I can't even. I hope next year December won't be as hard, but I guess I'll have to wait a whole year to see.

Tuesday: Theme/word for 2019

Authenticity. I was doing some "core values" work a few months ago, and I think this is the journey I'm on right now. The journey of authenticity, to figure out who I want to be and how I want to spend my time. I've written a little about it recently. I suspect there would be more to come.

Wednesday: Start doing

In 2019, I want to start exploring the city more. For me, it means going to exhibitions, shows, or tours that would spark new ideas and open my mind. I'm hoping to drag my good friend(s) with me, but I'm determined to go alone if I must. It'll be fun. I keep saying that I love living in London, and this year I want to take advantage of that.
