Friday Prompt: Natural Inspiration

I’ve been thinking about nature this week and how it can inspire us.

Today I have a bit of a task. Go outside, and pick up a leaf, a blossom, a pebble, anything natural. If you absolutely can’t, see if you can find a picture that speaks to you here.

Look at the object you picked carefully and describe it. Use all your senses (you can taste it if you’re brave, but you don’t have to). What does it remind you of? How does it make you feel? If you’re feeling stuck, set a timer for five minutes and make a list of all those things as quick as you can. Don’t think about it, just write. Then you can spend a few minutes expanding each of the items in your list. Try to be as specific as you can, and use as many details as you can.

When you’re done, have a look at what you wrote. Has anything surprised you?

Hey there! I would love to hear whatever you're willing to share that came from the prompt. Please comment below or click on the chat window, even if it's only to tell me that you've found this prompt useful (or ridiculous).
