Friday Writing Prompt - Family

Read this on galpod.com.

Every character we write has a family. Childhood experiences are embedded deep within us, navigating our behaviour. Family relationships are one aspect that dictates our choices, whether we like it or not. Since the holidays are all about family, our last prompt for 2021 is right on topic.

What are your main character’s childhood experiences that dictate their choices in adulthood? What’s her relationship with her parents, siblings, and extended family? What does she remember? What is the story she tells herself about her family and her childhood? Is it true?

As always, feel free to write about your MC or about yourself as a journal entry. Happy holidays and see you in 2022! :)

Hey there! I would love to hear whatever you're willing to share that came from the prompt. Please comment below or click on the chat window, even if it's only to tell me that you've found this prompt useful.
