My album is out live!
It's exciting. A little bit of good news as the world comes crashing down around our ears. You can read about the process of making the album here and here.
It's hard for me to nail down exactly how I feel about the album coming out. Proud? Sure. Nervous? Also. Scared? You betcha. Critical? Always. All of these feelings mix to become just weird. It's weird, to see the album cover (which the amazing Oli Mosse helped me create), with my picture on it, on Apple Music or Spotify. It's weird to think it's out there in the world. But it's also something I finished working on months ago, so it's maybe not that exciting? Because I kind of moved on, my singing has improved, I have done an open mic disaster, I'm doing other things, you know?
I had a great time working on this album. I think it's because everyone involved was, on one hand, a professional, and on the other hand a nice person. The "common wisdom" about "show biz" is that everyone has a huge ego, everyone is a diva, and everyone is challenging to work with. My sample is in no way representative, but all the people I've encountered were friendly and happy to indulge a complete noob like me who's not actually a musician.
Anyways, I'm not sure I have much to add on top of what I've already said about it. So, here's a list of the people who were involved in the making of this album, all of whom did a great job and are really lovely people :)
